Exploring Cricut Red, White, & Blue

Hi! My name is Michelle, and thrilled to be on the Exploring Cricut Design Team. Here is my project for today-

I'll explain how I did this!

Ribbons
These were made with the Ribbons & Rosettes Cartridges. Look on page 28 . For each rosette I cut 6 lengths at 2 1/2", scored the fold lines, and glued them together. I thought they were plain, so I took a Creative Memories Silver felt pen and colored the stars. Much easier to do before you glue together! I backed the rosette with glue onto a 2" circle, put a heavy object on it and let dry. The streamers I made with 1 1/2" wide ribbon that was 70% off at Jo-Anns. Cut the streamers 18 " long. Baste the edges of the top of the streamers, gather, arrange & glue on back of rosette circle. I cut another 2" circle, bent a pop can pop top slightly up, then stapled it to the 2nd circle. Glue over rosette streamers matching up circles. Trim ends of ribbons. Cut star medallion from same page, glue over center of rosette.

Banner
This was made with the Art Philosophy cartridge from Stampin' Up.  I chose the banner on page 29, and cut at 11 1/2" with white cardstock. The banner frame was cut with Wausau blue metallic paper at same size. Assemble. The lettering was from Chalkboard font Cartridge, Extended Font, cut at 2". Adhere to banner.

Add flag & star stickers around the top of the white portion of banner. I then used my Crop-a-Dile to add 2 eyelets to each banner.  I cut (6) 3" pieces of the red star wire to attach the banners to the wire I stretched between the ribbons.

I've had a lot of compliments on it so far!
I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
Bitten by the Bug 2 "Salute the Red, White, & Blue"
A Muse Studio "Red, White, & Blue"
