At JAS, the theme is Memorial Day, and here is what I created:
The vintage clip art is courtesy of The Graphics Fairy. I highlighted parts of the image with a Sakura Jellyroll Stardust pen. I tore strips of red paper out of my stash and layered it onto the card base to mimic the flag's stripes. I had some dark blue star paper that I tore into a square, attached that, then mounted the vintage image onto the cardstock.
Simple, but pretty! Please join us at Just-A-Scrappin'!

I am so honored & thrilled.
FANTASTIC! I love how you tore the stars and stripes for the background flag! And I thought the vintage card was really a real card!!!! Great job with the Sakura Gelly Roll Pen!
ReplyDeleteI loved that graphic as soon as it was posted. I love what you did with it!
ReplyDeleteI love the graphics Karen puts up-I'm already plotting new projects!
DeleteThis is beautiful! I didn't realize at first sight that you had done the torn paper; I thouught it was printed flag paper. I really like that graphic, too. I saw this at Karen's Graphics Fairy site and am adding you to the blogs I follow in hopes that I will get some tips on the card making I am starting to do. Holly
