  2. Dies: pumkin (Cricut, CTMH Artbooking), circle (Spellbinders).

  4. Other: tiny black beads, orange sequins.

Challenge #313-Sparkle!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #313-Make it Sparkle
Make it sparkle with glitter, gems, etc!

This Weeks Sponsor

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

Here is my project-

I chose for my sparkle some holographic paper from Wal-Mart, and shimmer paper from DCWV. I've never used this cut from Cricut Design Space (Anna's Lovely Layered Cards) before, but I really like how it turned out. I used Neenah white cardstock and Michaels Recollections blue cardstock for two of the layers. The sentiment is vellum background, and light blue shimmer paper stacked three deep, and is from Technique Tuesday.

Make sure to enter out Sparkle challenge for a chance at a great prize!

Thanks for visiting.

Autumn Leaves

Our challenge at Die Cut Diva's is brought to you by our wonderful sponsor Bugaboo

This month we are challenging you to create something inspired by this mood board! You don't have to use all the colors, but the inspiration should be noticeable on your creation!

Here is my project-

I decided to use the orange, yellow and green of the mood board to make my fall themed card. I really like how the ink on the embossing folder filled in around the embossed leaves. I just love how colorful it is! Here is the list of materials I used-
  1. Embossing Folder: falling leaves (Darice), ink (Stampin' Up Pumpkin Patch ink pad).
  2. Stamp: sentiment (Ellen Hutson, Thankful), Versamark ink, green embossing powder (Hero Arts).
  3. Dies: leaves (Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves).
  4. Paper: white cardstock (Neenah), dark yellow, orange (Scrap bins), vellum (Core-ordinations).
  5. Other: orange twin, green sequin.
Thanks for visiting!

Challenge #311-Pumpkins

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #311-Pumpkins
Make a project about anything to do with pumpkins

This Weeks Sponsor

And the prize is-

A $10 gift code for a B.Y.O.B. (Build Your Own Bundle)

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Here is my project-

I can't help myself-I just love having unexpected, funny sentiments in my cards! Especially since the pumkin is pretty scary, the font is creepy, and there are bats! Here are the materials I used to make this card-
  1. Cricut Cuts: card base (Wild Cards), bats (Artbooking and Chic & Scary), Happy Halloween (Happy Hauntings).
  2. Stamp: sentiment (Two Lips Stamps), Versafine Onyx Ink.
  3. Paper: orange, yellow, black, white cardstock.
  4. Other: Cuttlebug clear acetate. I added this to keep the inside protected and the pumkin vine from flopping around. I cut the square to size, and inserted it between the cardstock layers. Glossy Accents works well to glue the pumpkin vine to the acetate, as would Rangers Matte Medium. Use sparingly, as it spreads easily.

Die Cut Diva's and Bugaboo!

It's October and time for a new challenge. Our wonderful sponsor is Bugaboo

This month we are challenging you to create something inspired by this mood board! You don't have to use all the colors, but the inspiration should be noticeable on your creation!

Here is my project-

I made this a pretty simple card-that Halloween Kitty (colored with Copics) doesn't need a lot of embellishments. I used My Favorite Things Stitched Rounded Rectangles for the image, along with My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangles for the sentiment (which is by Viva Las Vegas Stamps). The bats are by Spellbinders (paper out of scrap stash), and the eyeball paper is Best Creations.
