This week's Challenge:
Shape Up: Make a shaped card

This was made with Artbooking (page 11) for the card itself, and Anna Griffiths Winter Wonderland for the Sentiment. I cut the card at 5 1/2 inches, using white, grey, and the pink foil from Colorbok (Wal-Mart). I love this foil, as it cuts perfectly every time with my Cricut. The "Joy" is cut from Wausau Royal Metallic Shimmer paper, using white, light silver, and dark silver. The flowers are some I found in a thrift store-25 of them for 40 cents! I think white poinsettias would look fantastic too.

Recently the FCCB Design Team held a card and tag swap.  I received the following tag & card from Diana Martin-

Isn't that card just adorable? Love all the faux stitching Diana did! And the picture doesn't do the tag justice-the twine has gold accents, there's rhinestones and shimmer paper to give it an elegant look.

Be sure to entry our challenge this week for a chance at a great prize!

BBTB2 Challenge-Butterflies

At BBTB2 the Challenge is Butterflies, so I made my Mom a birthday card (she'll be 77 next month) using her favorite colors and favorite winged creature-

This was made with Damask Decor cartridge. I had gotten this holographic gold a long time ago, so I don't know who made it. The green foil is from Colorbok, green rhinestones Michaels, Avery Elle "Thanks a bunch" tag & sentiment.

Mom's favorite color combo is green and gold, and she LOVES bling!

Thank you for visiting!

Exploring Cricut & More Autumn Challenge

Fall is in the air, and this is a project I've wanted to make for a long time, and finally got around to it! It took a challenge at Exploring Cricut & More to do it, but I'm glad I did, so here it is-

This was made with Arbooking (letters) and Home for the Holidays Fall & Winter (pennants). The paper is from my stash, and no manufacture name on it. The ribbon is from my stash, but will be replaced when I find a dark brown or sage green ribbon I like better. I'm also going to laminate the pennants for the cooler, wetter weather.

Thanks for looking!

Tag you're It
Create a project that uses a tag

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

Welcome! Sometimes I get really inspired by a paper I choose, like this Adorn It! butterfly paper. The butterflies are from the Picturesque cartridge, and the tag is from Plantin Schoolbook. All of the paper and vellum came from my scrap supply. The ribbon is Offray 1/8" white. The tag stamping is from Stampendous (sentiment) and Cricut® Premium Stamps, Cherished Memories for the flourishes. I had ribbon connecting the butterflies to the tag, to suggest that the butterflies are flying the tag to the birthday person.

Make sure to check out all of the design teams projects for inspiration, and make sure you enter the challenge to have a chance at that great prize!

I'm also entering this at BBTB2 Any Cricut Cut Challenge!

Challenge at BBTB2

Boy, it seems like forever that I've been able to participate in a Cricut based challenge! I'm entering this project at Bitten by the Bug 2's purse challenge-

The purse is actually made from Accent Essentials. I cut two of these shapes, folding down the upper fourth for the purse. On the second shape I cut off the top, and sewed the edges together so the purse can hold a gift card. The handle is some silver ball trim (Christmas?) I've had in my shiny stuff drawer. I did put velcro on the purse to hold it together. Sentiment from Avery Elle, shiny flower from Michaels.

Thanks for stopping by!

Kids Theme
Create a project for kids

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

Here is my Project:

This layout is of me as a baby! The original album my Mom had all of our baby pictures in is falling apart, so I took this one and used the Cricut cartridge "The First Few Years" for the layout. All of the paper is from the DCWV French Country Stack except for the dark pink, which is Creative Memories. I had to resize the tag in CCR to accommodate the hospital tag. The ribbon is some white iridescent I picked up at a fabric store years ago.

It has inspired me to make some albums for my brother and sister with their baby pictures. I will definitely be using the same cartridge!

I'm also entering this at D.L. Arts September Linky challenge.
