Challenge #296-St. Patricks Day

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #296-St. Patricks Day
Make a project about St. Patricks Day, such as Shamrocks or Leprechauns

This Weeks Sponsor

Dreaming Tree SVG's

The winner will receive a $20 Gift Certificate!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Here is my project:

This is the Irish Banner from Dreaming Tree. The Cricut cuts are the banner (Bits & Pieces) and the sentiment (Art Nouveau font). That's whats fun about Leo's SVG's, you can add cuts from your Cricut to personalize your project. I used solid green papers from the Recollections Green stack, and the rest is out of my stash. I actually made a grid to put lime Stickles on the clovers to mimic a manufactured paper.

This is on my craft room door. I've always wanted a St. Patricks decoration, and now I have one!

Thanks for visiting.

Aloha!

This month at Die Cut Diva's we would like you to share with us your summer vacation, via cards ( or the papercraft of your choice), or maybe make a card sharing your dream vacation! Just remember you must always use at least 1 die cut or embossing folder, and most of all have fun!

Sponsoring us this Month is...

Here is my project-

I made a shaker card with Hawaii Betty! Here are the steps & materials I used:
  1. I used a My Favorite Things Oval Die to cut into the background designer paper by Ella & Viv. I used my Copics to color in a beach & sky, and used Elmers foam lines for the shaker oval. I happened to have gold sequin stars in my stash, and figured they could be starfish or heavenly stars!
  2. I colored the Hawaii Betty with my Copics, and highlighted her hair with a gelly glitter pen.
  3. The sentiment was cut with my Cricut using the Life is a Beach cartridge, and scraps from my stash.
One of these days, I will go to Hawaii. It's a dream vacation for me.

Thanks for visiting!
I'm also entering this at the Cut it Up Summertime Memories Challenge.

Die Cut Diva's and Vacations!

I hope everyone is enjoying a lovely summer and either having a wonderful vacation, or enjoying the summer festivities of your own home town.

I used Nevada Betty (colored with Copics) from Simply B for my scrapbook. We are in Reno for Hot August Nights with our 1966 Chevelle 4 door Hardtop, so I got the pages ready for pictures. Here is the entire layout-

I used my Cricut and the Nifty Fifties cartridge to cut out the Cruisin' and Route 66 images (don't you just love noticing something is uneven AFTER you've photographed it? *sigh*) out of scrap cardstock. The font was downloaded from the internet and is called Fontdiner Swanky. The nice thing about Cricut Design Space is that you can cut any font you have on your computer! I used Colorbox gold mirror cardstock for the lettering.

Thanks for visiting!

So here is my project-

Here are the products I used for this card-
  1. LeCrystelle Heart tri-fold card (New).
  2. Spellbinders Lace Hearts (New die cuts by fellow DT member)(You could also use the Cheery Lynn Two of Hearts set).
  3. Tropical Blooms 3D embossing folder by Cuttlebug (New).
  4. Cuttlebug banner from Labels and Such Colleciton (New)(You could also use the Momenta Mix & Match Banner dies).
  5. Sentiment on banner from Close to My Heart Just to Say...Cricut Collection (New), sentiment on large heart from Unity Stamp Co.
  6. Heart mini punch (unknown).
I got Cuttlebug embossing folders and Cuttlebug Dies on sale during Christmas break for $1.99 each, plus free shipping! I got 15 different items, so you'll be seeing a lot of NEW looks on my cards. The sentiment collection was part of the Artfully sent CTMH package and I had forgotten I even had it, first time I used it. I did cut off the top of the heart above the banner so I could see the sentiment on the large heart.
