Lots of holidays

Cheapo Dies is our wonderful sponsor at Die Cut Divas for September, so if you want to make Thanksgiving cards, Christmas cards or even Valentine cards, come on and join the fun this month.

What holidays do you celebrate? New Years Day, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, July 4th, Halloween, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas? If we don't recognize the holiday, please tell us in your post what holiday you made your project for.

Cheapo Dies has increased their inventory with the addition of well  known die brands like Elizabeth Craft Designs, Memory Box, Sizzix, Hero Arts, Poppy Stamps, Lawn Fawn and a whole lot more.  Be sure to check Cheapo Dies out here.

Cheapo Dies offers a $15 gift certificate as the prize for our winner.

Here is my project-

When opened-

And with a ribbon and gold shiny cardstock-

I made up a dozen of these cards to be given away at a year end banquet for our car club.  I'll split them into two bags of six so another person has a shot at winning some. These were so fast and easy to make, thanks to the tutorial at Jennifer McGuire, Ink. Here are the materials I used to make these cards-
  1. Dies: ornament with layer (Sizzix, but here is a link where there are many choices!), bow (Frantic Stamper)
  2. Embossing Folders: snowflakes, holly, (Anna Griffith, Cuttlebug).
  3. Paper: Neenah White Cardstock, purple, blue, silver shimmer paper (stash), gold metallic (Tim Holtz Metallic cardstock).
  4. Stamp: sentiment (Technique Tuesday).
  5. Other: I-rock gems (Imaginisce), sheer purple ribbon (American Crafts).
You don't have to use a layered ornament. If you have stitched, stamped, or even plain it would work as well. Also, the tiny purple bow is called a fork bow, and tutorials on You Tube are plentiful. Give it a try!

Here are the materials I used to make this card-
  1. Dies: coffee, coffee cup (Coffee Cup Fri-dies-Cas-ual Friday), square (My Favorite Things stitched square).
  2. Stamps: sentiment (Cas-ual Friday, Coffee Talk), background (Stampendous-Inspiring Text).
