Thank you Hero Arts!

We would like to take the time at Die Cut Diva's to thank our wonderful sponsor for February-

The red or pink challenge ends today, so get that project done and enter it!

Here is my project:

I had so much fun using buttons and two of the many elements (dressform, sentiment) of the Hero Art Digital pack, Make it Your Own. I even sewed on the edges of the Dress form paper (Timeless Collection, Kaisercraft). I used My Favorite Things Pierced Inside & Out dies on the sentiment and the scissors & thread elements. My Cricut cut the thread, scissors, and dress form base from Cricut Access. All of the papers that I haven't shared a manufacturer with are from my stash. The buttons are also from my grandma's button box, so I don't know who made them. It's so fun to search for buttons!

Hello card

At Die Cut Diva's, Hero Arts is sponsoring a $25 gift card to our February winner, so make sure you enter! Just make sure you use a die and/or an embossing folder!

This card was inspired by this post from Jennifer McGuire here. I needed a fast card for a friend who just got out of the hospital, and this worked out perfectly!

Here are the materials I used to make this card:
  1. Stamps: flowers (Hero Arts Hello Sunshine Daisies), sentiment (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society June 2014).
  2. Inks: Candied Apple, Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry (Tim Holtz Distress Inks), Versafine Onyx ink, Versamark ink and clear embossing powder for flowers.
  3. Die: My Favorite Things stitched rectangles.
  4. Paper: white cardstock.
  5. Other: white sticky back foam (Michaels).
I want to try the non-embossing method also, as it gives a much subtler look.

I'm also entering this at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers X is for Xtreme (off the edge).

Thanks for visiting!

Sew Nice

This month at Die Cut Diva's our sponsor is-

This month our challenge is to use Red and/or Pink, and here is my project-

My grandmother was a professional seamstress, my mother sewed almost as much as her mom, and I've followed the family tradition by sewing too! I love to make clothes that are different from store bought, and this digital pack from Hero Arts brought back so many memories of being a little girl in one giant sewing room.

Here is the materials I used to make this card-
  1. Images: sentiment, scissor background, pattern information (Hero Arts Make it Your Own digital set).
  2. Paper: pink cardstock (Recollections), small heart paper (Lil' Inkers), white cardstock (stash).
  3. Die: rectangle (Tim Holtz Alterations stitched rectangles). Colored with pink Copic from compressor spray.
  4. Embellishments: Heart button (stash),  black and white twine (American Crafts), black and pink ribbon (Offray).
Thanks for visiting!
