FCCB Challenge #279-Patriotism

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #279-Patriotism
Create a project that features Patriotism for any country.

This Weeks Sponsor

The prize is 7 digital stamps!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

Here is my project-

First, I need to apologise for the pictures. The wind kept blowing my shirt off the fence, and the sun was playing Peek-a-boo with me! By the time I got these pictures I was pretty frustrated!

This was the first time I had ever cut anything with the Cricut Iron On vinyl. It was so easy to use! My Explore cut it beautifully, and it was a snap to iron on.

Here is a list of materials I used:
  1. Cricut Iron On: Red, White, Navy.
  2. T-shirt: Hanes women's v-neck.
  3. American Flag SVG-Free from Something to Craft About.
  4. Lettering: Cricut Design Space Font-Layered.

Dreamcatcher

We hope you entered our challenge at the Die Cut Divas. This months theme was Anything Goes and our fantastic sponsor is Kaisercraft!

Here is a look at the prize - valued at $50 Australian.

Here is my project:

I played with the new Kaiserkraft embossing folder, Dreamcatcher. I decided to ink the raised design in the embossing folder with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, and embossed a white piece of cardstock with it. I then used the Ranger Distress Inks Fossilled Amber, Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon and inked the surface. I went with the Southwestern colors of a light brown and turquoise for the mat and card base. The embossing folder I used on the turquoise mat is actually an Anna Griffith Christmas embossing folder! I thought the deer looked right at home with the dreamcatcher! I used a Studio G brown ink pad to highlight the embossing.
The sentiment was printed onto vellum from the computer. The My Favorite Things Fishtail Banners cut them out, and I used my Cricut to cut 1" high feathers to help hide the glue! I used a Sakura Micro fine glue pen to right on the reverse side of the sentiment so the banners wouldn't flop around.

Feathers and Kaisercraft

Come join the challenge at the Die Cut Divas. This months theme is Anything Goes and our fantastic sponsor is Kaisercraft!

Hope you all join us.
Here is a look at the prize - valued at $50 Australian.

Here is my project:

This large feather die was a dream to work with! It is also a new release, so be sure to look for it sometime in June. The feather Kaiserkraft paper is out of the Periwinkle Collection, Morning Light. The feathers were made out of Wausau shimmer paper, except the cream one was from DCWV Shimmer Paper stack. The sentiment is an old Studio G stamp that was on clearance for 50 cents, and this is the first time I've used it. The sentiment papers are from my scrap bin.
