Bad Hare Day

Talk about gorgeous images and the name, SheepSki Designs pops up as a leader.  So many marvelous images to choose from.

The Challenge is to use Critters in your project.

The Prize: Three images of choice for the random winner.

Here is my project-

And on the inside-

Isn't this image adorable? I made this as a "pick me up" card for my niece, who is undergoing chemo & radiation for her cancer. She is a bunny fanatic, so all cards I make for her have to include a bunny! This is Bad Hare Day by Sheepski Designs, colored with Prismacolor pencils.

This card fold is made by CREAlies, a Dutch company that Frantic Stamper has added. They are the only distributors in the United States. This is the On The Move #15 Design N. Check out the other neat folded card designs CREAlies has!

The paper is out of a DCWV paper pack called White Ginger. The sentiments are computer generated, and the band has a cool flower out of my stash.

Make sure you enter for a chance at that great prize!

The Challenge is to use Critters in your project.

The Prize: Three images of choice for the random winner.

Here is my project-

I thought this was an adorable image for a Christmas card! It really didn't take any time to color, and that spy in the middle is too cute! Here is the materials list for this card-
  1. Image: My Spy (Sheepski Designs), colored with Copics.
  2. Dies: frame (Antique Frame, Penny Black), snowflakes (unknown).
  3. Sentiment: Holiday Sentiments Series 2 (Spellbinders), red foil (Crimson Stars, Spellbinders).
  4. Paper: white cs, Christmas patterned paper (unknown).

Blinged Girlfriend

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!

***Due to strict new tax collection requirements, they will NO LONGER ship to any country in EUROPE (incl. UK).

What's the Prize, you say? This set of dies!

And here is my project-

For my tic-tac-toe card I used the diagonal line of chocolate, the word love, and bling. I embossed a chocolate cardstock with Anna Griffins Matelasse embossing folder. The Frantic Stamper Pleated Dress die is so fun to use, and choosing patterned paper is really fun! When I added the pearls to the waistband, I rediscovered the pink rhinestone Girlfriend sentiment (unknown manufacturer) and used it as part of the sentiment. The "love you" words are from Spellbinders Layered Mix and Match Sentiments I cut out of pink scraps.

Make sure to enter out challenge for a chance to win those great dies!

What's the Prize, you say? This set of dies!

And here is my project-

Sometimes I like to have cards with no sentiments on hand. I do have a ton of sentiments made up that can be added to cards to fit any occasion that crops up. This is so easy to make and have on hand! Here is a material list-

  1. Dies: Elementals #12 Filigree Oval (Frantic Stamper), Outrageous Butterfly (Spellbinders).
  2. Cardstock: kraft, gold mirror, patterned paper (unknown).
  3. Embellishment: gold pearls (Gold Satin Baubles by Trinity Stamps).

Gilded Roses

Established in April 2014, Altenew has quickly become a leader in the inspiration industry and continues to innovate and influence the world of paper crafts. Altenew strives to encourage crafters to express their own unique creativity through the art of paper crafting.

The Challenge for this month is: Water Coloring

The Prize from Altenew

Here is my project-

Ugh! I have such a hard time positioning baubles! But I will keep trying, because it really adds a beautiful element. I finally got a decent watercolor background using the Altenew 24 pan watercolor set (I struggle with baubles and watercoloring, LOL). The beautiful Altenew Gilded Rose with the coordinating stencils is just stunning, and the sentiment is from Altenews In My Thoughts stamp set. The gold baubles are from Trinity Stamps called Gold Satin. I used the Hero Arts Infinity Rectangles to cut the watercolor background.

One in a Melon

Established in April 2014, Altenew has quickly become a leader in the inspiration industry and continues to innovate and influence the world of paper crafts. Altenew strives to encourage crafters to express their own unique creativity through the art of paper crafting.

The Challenge for this month is: Water Coloring

The Prize from Altenew

Here is my project-

I'm really happy over the background, which I made using the 24 pan watercolor set from Altenew! I struggle with watercolors, but I was really thrilled that the watermelons from Simple Fruit Set by Altenew looked so good on it. Thank you Cindy Chiu for that set! I used Pink Flamingo Distress Oxide ink for the melon, took a Q-Tip dipped in water and erased the rind, then stamped. I added the rind using a Ranger emboss pen and green embossing powder (Hampton Art), and cut them out with the matching die set. The sentiment was also part of the set.

Now enter the challenge for that same set of watercolors I used-they are a $49.99 value!

Here is my project-

I'm trying to make Christmas cards early this year, so I decided to go with a winter themed card for this wagon full of books. Here is the material list-

  1. Image: Gnome on Books (Reading Nordic Gnome by Scrapflower Estudio), colored with Copics.
  2. Paper: white cardstock, snow cardstock (Kraft Note Forever Friends), scraps.
  3. Dies: lights (Holiday by Little B), poinsettia on hat (Spellbinders Sunday Drive with Santa), bow on wagon (Spellbinders Camper Life), tree (unknown-freebie).

Birthday Book Gnome

Scrapflower Estudio is Die Cut Divas' Sponsor for March.

The prize is the winner's choice of 4 digi stamps.

The theme for this month is Anything Goes!

Here is my project-

I needed birthday cards! And I like how it turned out-I kept trying to put the birthday die cut (Happy Birthday by Creative Expression) either over or under the image (Reading Nordic Gnome by Scrapflower Estudio). But putting the sentiment in the center was just right. The tiny black accents (stash) added some needed interest. I die cut the gnome image and mat with Taylored Expressions Label Stacklets Two.

Be sure to enter for a chance to win some wonderful digis!

Rose with a touch of gold

Die Cut Divas' Sponsor for February is none other than Hero Arts.

The Theme: Add some gold - heat embossing, foiling, gold pen, gold thread,
gold gems/sequins/enamel dots... something GOLD.

It's always time for Hero Arts who have always supported Die Cut Divas since we started sponsorships and we are always pleased to spend time with our Hero Arts products.

Here is my project-

When I want to mail someone a card, I really try to make a non-dimensional card. I cased this card from Jennifer McGuire, but added the ribbon and change the sentiment to Valentines. The ribbon actually compresses quite a bit, and as it is wire edged, it snaps back into shape with a little coaxing. Here are the materials I used to make this card-

  1. Dies: rose (Bouquet Accessories by Hero Arts), leaves (Envelope Accessories by Hero Arts).
  2. Stamps: sentiment, script block (Sending Love Mail by Hero Arts).

Make sure to enter for a chance at that wonderful prize!

It's always time for Hero Arts who have always supported Die Cut Divas since we started sponsorships and we are always pleased to spend time with our Hero Arts products.

Here is my project-

I made a Z-fold card to showcase that lovely gold embossed rose. I don't work with kraft paper much, but liked it paired with the light pink patterned paper. I'm trying to expand my comfort zone. Here are the materials I used to make this card-

  1. Stamp and Dies: rose (Hero Florals Rose Stamp-N-Cut by Hero Arts) colored with Copics, leaves (Garden Picks 3-D by Altenew), sentiment (unknown).
  2. Embossing Powder: Queens Gold by Ranger.

Valentine Birdy!

Happy New Year to all of you and may it be a great start, a new beginning and a Happy New Year.

We are so pleased to open the new year with a new sponsor, Lawn Fawn!

The challenge is Valentines, so make our hearts happy because it's time to plan and make those fun, sappy, elegant, heart-felt cards for our next holiday,
Valentines Day.

Lawn Fawn's Prize is a $25 gift card.

Here is my project-

My sister is an avid bird watcher and birdhouse collector, so the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Birdhouse was perfect for this card! The bird came with the house. I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide to make the background sky, and Impression Obsession Icicles to make grass. The sentiment is from the new Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate Hearts set stamped onto red paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder. All of the paper die cuts were out of my scrap stash.

Polkadoodles Penguins

It's a Polka Doodles Month here at Die Cut Divas and there's so much to look forward to from the Divas.
A change from our usual posting during the year, we will be posting on
December 1st and December 15th.
You might see a post from one of the Divas, but on the whole,
our Divas are getting ready for Santa to come down the chimney tree.
They're baking cookies and scurrying around like mice moose and snowmen this month.

The Theme is "Anything Winter or Christmas Themed"

Polkadoodles will donate 3 digi stamps to 1 winner.  The prize cannot be exchanged for cash and no overages are allowed on the voucher value.

 Here is my project-

This image is just darling, like all of Polkadoodles images! This one is Penguin Candy Canes, and I colored it with my Copics. The snow was cut around the image with Frantic Stamper Scene Builders dies. I added the stripes and dots on the scarves. The frame is from Taylored Expressions called Picture Perfect Happy Holidays. After assembling the frame and image it was attached to old Creative Memories snow paper and put on a card.

Make sure to enter for a chance at a great prize!

This cute image from Polkadoodles (Snowman-Elvis Wesley Moose) was perfect for the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel die! I colored the image with Copics, and used the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments for the sentiment above the window and the window words. Lawn Fawn Happy Howlidays stamp set had the perfect sized snowflakes, which are stamped with Broken China Distress Oxide ink.

The Theme: Anything Goes Challenge Prize: winner gets $20 gift card to the store.

I know everyone will want to go shopping at Birch Press Design.

Here is my project-

This card is made of up items that a friend and team mate sent me-thanks Cindy Chiu! I hate to admit this, but she sent them over a year ago and I just now found them (my craft room is known as the Bermuda Triangle). So I made this card and I'm thrilled with the result. The birthday die cuts are from Birch Press Designs called Big Birthday Sugar Script. I don't know the printed and striped paper manufacturers. The stamps were from Hero Arts, Lawn Fawn and Paper Issues.

One day I was playing with my Brusho's, mainly doing backgrounds. I made some red ones because I had never made any of them (I usually stick to blues and greens). Here is the material list for this card-

  1. Dies: Moroccan Lattice Die, Layered Rose Die (Altenew), rose leaves (Elizabeth Craft Designs), sentiment (Sunny Studio-Sunny Snippets).
